Slipper socks. Medium.
This made me think of Dench’s birth announcements. When MH was born, I sent announcements out pretty much to our whole Christmas card list without second thought. We were new parents – enough said.
This time around, I only ordered 20 – basically, enough for us to keep one or two, and the rest to send to family members. And even at that, not all family members, just those who we are still pretty well in touch with and who might actually want the announcement in the first place. My reasoning: we sent an e-mail when she was actually born, and these are going out two months late as it is, and so I’ll just send them to people who might want them as keepsakes, like, say, my mom.
However, there are one or two people who I was planning to send the announcement to because they are not really e-mail people, and they’ve sent us gifts or cards for Dench, and I felt like it would be nice to send them an actual paper announcement. I wish etiquette allowed me to print her name, date and place of birth, height, weight, and “P.S. We are not fishing for gifts”.
